Lingering Santorini

14th of April 2012, It has been almost a month since my last post.
The thing that I was planning on, which I'd mentioned on my last post, is the trip to Santorini.
Never ever thinking of being able to step foot on that island.
It was a dream for me, which seemed far and unreachable.
And it still is.
Mind still lingers on that place.
It's a dreamy island that you should go when it's not crowded. Just chill and relax.

Love this photo of me. Thanks Bianca for the photo.

And after seeing so many stunning photos of Santorini for my whole life, I got to capture one myself.
The sunset of Oia.

It was OH-SO-AMAZING to see the changing color of the sea, sky and the whitewashed cube houses.
We just sat there and watched it quietly. I guess we all had the same thought at that moment.
'Couldn't believe that I'm here.'
That's what we always tell each other when we are traveling.
More photos for the trip on the coming post.
I still couldn't get enough of it.
:)
This trip somehow changed certain parts of me.
Which part?
We'll see.

Never stop dreaming.
There is no 'dream comes true' if you don't have a dream.

Life's good! Cheers!!

Have a nice one!

2011 in a nutshell

It's 6th of Janaury 2012.
It's our last January if the world ends at 2012.
Still, I live normally, going for work as usual, online as usual, stay quiet when I am alone as usual.

Really couldn't figure out what would I do if tomorrow is the end of the world. Hope that internet and skype still in service if the dooms day comes, I can see my loved ones for one last time at least.

It has been a year or so since I left home, graduated, stepped into the grown-up world, my point of view towards life and how I want to live my life has changed, in a good way. Do whatever I want whenever I could, love whoever is lovable, and of course hate whoever I think she's a bitch or he's a bastard, eat whatever I like without thinking of the fat, buy whatever I like without bothering others' comments, shout whenever I have hatred within me *but make sure I don't shout at the one I love.  :)) So whether the world ends or not, I am cool with it~
By the way, 2012 started well, but problems coming continuously after that, hope things go smoother after this. *fingers crossed* Just I need to calm myself down, 保持愉快的心情最重要!

Here I go, 2011 in a nutshell.
.
.
.
Kick-started 2011 by spending time in Eva's house. Friendship would never changes if you treat each others true heartedly. This is what I always believe in.

.
.
.
February 2011, marched back home, for CNY, their craziness always drive me crazy?! Hah!

.
.
.
And made it for Song Susu's birthday! For your information, I would do anything for this lady down here. 义无反顾 is what they call it. And of course for some other Goo Po Man *if any of my Goo Po Man is reading this. Muackss!

.
.
.
It isn't home without Bin Bin in it~
My little hunny bunny. :)

.
.
.
And of course all of my precious ones. Having a family photo during CNY is our tradition.

.
.
.
A lot of events going on during February. No doubt, we were celebrating V's day!
Four of us. With NO boyfriends. And YES, we had fun!

.
.
.
March 2011
Had been away to my favorite trip ever!
Would never forget how amazing and how magnificent those scenery are.
Lucky to have seen such stunning places before the world ends.

.
.
.
April 2011, we would never waste any benefit that is offered by the company, Extra Crew is one of the benefit, we travel for free, so why not spending our days off in different countries?
To Paris, such romantic country with them! :[
Hah! Eiffel tower stunned me still! Je t'aime!

.
.
.
And May and June 2011,
Met up with the brothers after soo long.
Together we conquered the Big Apple.

Oh ya, and I went back home for a sweet little vacation! :)
.
.
.
July 2011. Summer and heat!
I've got myself tanned during the trip of Rome.
To have seen one of the 7 wonders *slashing Coloseum  from my bucket list.*
To have eaten the most delicious gelato in the whole wide world.
I'm contented! :)

.
.
.
August 2011.
Seems like I kept travelling throughout the whole year.
Hell Yeah! But we always minimized our budget while maximizing our joy at each and every places, or else we would be broke by the time we finish a trip.
Have been to Belgium.
And I had the greatest meal ever in Brussels.

.
.
.
September.
Another item from my bucket list got slashed off.
Niagara Falls.
And new contract signed, what happened after that?
I keep flying.
With a slightly higher allowance.

.
.
.
October.
Ever since the Belgium's trip, I always do a lot of homework on what are those delicacies on the destination we are going. Ever since that trip, our budget on food, BOOM!
Barcelona, opened up my eyesight towards architecture. Those buildings, they can be so alive with so much colors and different structures. Everything is possible, this is what I thought after seeing such amazing architecture.

.
.
.
November 2011,
the year is coming to the end, and we, Chinese use to say, the best is always at the bottom of the pot, which means the last is always the best.
Same goes to my 2011.
Cici Tan, one of my Goo Po, was in the town!

Besides that, papa, mama and Mei Yi came for their vacation too!!
And here, my another place in bucket list was slashed off too.

.
.
.
December 2011.
Had a busy November and also December.
Went to Beirut for our days off.
Unlike other arabic countries, Lebanon is looking european.

The liquors in Beirut are CHEAP, and I got wasted consequently.
I don't like the taste of alcohol, but I do like the feeling of getting drunk.
And,
this photo of me puking was well-captured.

We had Winter Solstice before Christmas.
Rice flour dumplings, 吃了长一年, which means we grow 1 year older after we have the rice flour dumplings.

.
.
.
Voila!
I had done a lot in my 2011, a lot of dreams came true, countless ups and downs. But life goes on, we could stop anything but time. I've attained some of my goals within this 1 year time. *clap clap*
Live life to the fullest, it's easy to say it than to do it. I can only try my best!

2012, I want to become a better person. In every way.
Hmm, quite hard to do so.
But, who cares?

Life's good.
Smile more!
Cheers!!

Have a simple Friday!

Ng Family Rocked Middle East!

Wow!!
I haven't been here for a month!! Gosh! However, wasn't flying that much last month, I've reached my high hour, flew around 840 hours this year, and we are not allowed to fly over 900 hours per calendar year. That's why I was given a high-hour-holiday, which is good for me, got to bring my parents and Mei Yi around when they were here for vacation.

It was great to have them here in Jordan to bug me. They were here for 9 days, as usual, they argue about every little things now, and the next second, they become close again, like two peas in a pod. The noisiness made me felt like I'm at home. :)

Never really ask if they enjoy the trip here. But I hope they did. I admitted that I didn't really have a well-planned trip for them. Hope that next trip would be a better one that they don't need to worry about me spending too much money on the trip, which I think it's unnecessary for them to worry about it. We've spent too much of their money in the past quarter century, it's our turn now to take over that role, at least little by little. :)

We started our trip from Cairo, Egypt, then only we were back in Amman.

We were there few days right before the election started. Despite the unstable political condition in Cairo, we still managed to go through the tour, without any obstacles. In fact, we were not in the town where the demonstration took place. We were staying all the time at Giza, the outskirt of Cairo for the first day. And Saqqara, Memphis for the rest of the days.

Here are some photos of the trip~

Peas in the pod with the royal tombs of King Khufu and King Khafre. Now only I realised Papa wore like an archaeologist that day~Ha!

We were there having tea and watching the sunset and the pyramids! Life's good! :))

The next day, we went to Saqqara for its Step Pyramids and Pyramid of Teti. We got to go inside the pyramid and it was a thrill!!

Honey mooner at the Citadel of Cairo.

We flew back to Amman after few days in Cairo, visited Ajloun Castle and Jerash at the north of Jordan.
Like father like daughter!!Papa being modeled by Mei Yi. Hehe~

I love the following shot~Anak manja~

Then we continued our adventure to Wadi Rum, Aqaba, Deadsea and Ma'in hotspring at the south of Jordan!

Wadi Rum for its sand, rock, sunset and hospitality of Bedouin. One thing I love the most is the black tea with sage!My all time favorite!!

Family photo!!Love the sand!!

Papa mama and the tea!!Cheers!!

Without any reason, I love the following shot! :)

It was too cold for them to stay overnight in Bedouin camp that night, I decided to save the sleepover in Wadi Rum to the next trip, so we headed south to stay overnight at Aqaba. :))

And the next day, we headed back to north, for Dead Sea, the lowest point on earth and Ma'in hotspring of Jordan!

I couldn't stop laughing when i browsed through the photos taken at Dead Sea, papa and mama looking like the Shrek and Princess Fionna with the mud!! :D
Utterly CUTE!!

I'm so gonna bring them over to Amman again next year's spring~

Life's good!!Cheers!!

Have a cheerful Saturday!!!

The Concrete Jungle.

New York, a city that I hate and I love.

I was so damn nervous when I knew I was going to New York, fast-paced life and was thinking do I have to walk very fast in the city?? I was all alone when I first reached NY, so I actually studied a bit about the metro and places to go for the first day. Luckily, with some helps from the operating Thai senior crew, P'BB, I literally walked to Timesquare and Empire State Building area on my own! See the city, where dreams are made, with my bare eyes. Wooohoo~

I actually like a getaway to a beautiful natural place rather than a city,  so I didn't hold much expectation towards the city, for me, meeting my Camin Loo is the main thing for the long-awaited trip. :P However, this trip ended up being awesome! All because of the friends that I was travelling with. :))

And of course the uniqueness of the city. There must be some reasons why everyone is dreaming of going to the concrete jungle.

They have awesome museums, magnificent skyscrapers, mixed of cuisines from everywhere around the world, all in all, mixed of everything, it's indeed a colorful city, my eyes were occupied for the whole trip!

Billboards in Timesquare, my head was literally tilted up for the whole Timesquare thingy.

The Square. Crowded square. They called it 'The Crossroads of the world'. It's actually located in between junctions. Smaller than i thought it is.

With the Beast! Queuing up for Broadway show's ticket.

The gang!!

Watched Ben Stiller's show, 'The House of Blue Leaves'.

Went Little Italy and Chinatown on the 2nd day. HUGEEEEE pizza, it's portion for 3 person. Unbelievable HUGE!

Madame Tussauds wax museum.

Aim it and nail it!

Top of the Rock.

Slim!!

Museum of Natural History!! Dinosaurs spotted! Dead one. First time ever in my life.

Awesome companions~:))

Next on, the river cruise.

Not much of photos for both of us.

Gloomy Statue of Liberty.

Great shot from Mandy. Love this one!!

The Brooklyn Bridge and us!

Up on the Empire State Building. Looooooong queue to go up to the building. They all said it's not worth it to go up there after such a long queue.

But I actually enjoyed the whole city view with the audio guide by Uncle Tony~ Nice day view of the city, love it better than the night view!See the skyscrapers of the city. There are the terribly crowded buildings on one piece of land.

See, my beloved sunset!!

*Ka-chak*

Dinner time! I missed the time we eating together. How I wish I could rewind the time or fast-forward it to the future.

The next day, headed to Boston, for whale-watching. Good day for us to rest on the 4-hour-bus trip and another 4 hours on the way back. We were flat sleeping on the bus.

Nasi Lemak in Boston!!Yum Yum!

Our ride, to the Atlantic Ocean. A wonderful yet horrible ride. Why wonderful, because we got to see the 2nd biggest whale in the world, the Fin Whale, it was really amazing to get to see wild whale with your own eyes, it's more excited to see it in the ocean than in the aquarium. The luck is the thing. If you're lucky , you get to meet them in the ocean. Nice to meet you Fin Whales!!
And why horrible? Because we puked all the way going. We walked like a zombie after the ride. I hate waves! Definitely prefer air turbulence than the waves!!

Looks nice but tastes bad.

More museum-visit on the next day. One of my favorite museums, MoMA, the Museum of Modern Art. I am not a museum person at all. But seriously, the museums in NYC changed my old dusty perspective towards a museum. Malaysians should really learn from the Americans, see how they rock a museum.

Strolling around the Wall Street.

Posing with the Charging Bull in the Wall Street.

We see the bull from a different perspective.

The Grand Central Station. The crowd is everywhere. As the name goes, it's really grand.

Dinner time. Bubba Gump is always my favorite!

Had a really great time in the city with my loved one. It's never gonna be the same next time when i step on that city again. Without the company of all of you.

Again, thanks for the awesomely great trip.

P.S. My dream did comes true in the city!

Have a lovely Sunday!!
