, a city that I hate and I love.
I was so damn nervous when I knew I was going to New York, fast-paced life and was thinking do I have to walk very fast in the city?? I was all alone when I first reached NY, so I actually studied a bit about the metro and places to go for the first day. Luckily, with some helps from the operating Thai senior crew, P'BB, I literally walked to Timesquare and Empire State Building area on my own!
See the city, where dreams are made, with my bare eyes. Wooohoo~
I actually like a getaway to a beautiful natural place rather than a city, so I didn't hold much expectation towards the city, for me, meeting my Camin Loo is the main thing for the long-awaited trip. :P However, this trip ended up being awesome! All because of the friends that I was travelling with. :))
And of course the uniqueness of the city. There must be some reasons why everyone is dreaming of going to the concrete jungle.
They have awesome museums, magnificent skyscrapers, mixed of cuisines from everywhere around the world, all in all, mixed of everything, it's indeed a colorful city, my eyes were occupied for the whole trip!
Billboards in Timesquare, my head was literally tilted up for the whole Timesquare thingy.
The Square. Crowded square. They called it 'The Crossroads of the world'. It's actually located in between junctions. Smaller than i thought it is.
With the Beast! Queuing up for Broadway show's ticket.
The gang!!
Watched Ben Stiller's show, 'The House of Blue Leaves'.
Went Little Italy and Chinatown on the 2nd day. HUGEEEEE pizza, it's portion for 3 person. Unbelievable HUGE!
Madame Tussauds wax museum.
Aim it and nail it!
Top of the Rock.
Slim!!
Museum of Natural History!! Dinosaurs spotted! Dead one. First time ever in my life.
Awesome companions~:))
Next on, the river cruise.
Not much of photos for both of us.
Gloomy Statue of Liberty.
Great shot from Mandy. Love this one!!
The Brooklyn Bridge and us!
Up on the Empire State Building. Looooooong queue to go up to the building. They all said it's not worth it to go up there after such a long queue.
But I actually enjoyed the whole city view with the audio guide by Uncle Tony~ Nice day view of the city, love it better than the night view!See the skyscrapers of the city. There are the terribly crowded buildings on one piece of land.
See, my beloved sunset!!
*Ka-chak*
Dinner time! I missed the time we eating together. How I wish I could rewind the time or fast-forward it to the future.
The next day, headed to Boston, for whale-watching. Good day for us to rest on the 4-hour-bus trip and another 4 hours on the way back. We were flat sleeping on the bus.
Nasi Lemak in Boston!!Yum Yum!
Our ride, to the Atlantic Ocean. A wonderful yet horrible ride. Why wonderful, because we got to see the 2nd biggest whale in the world, the Fin Whale, it was really amazing to get to see wild whale with your own eyes, it's more excited to see it in the ocean than in the aquarium. The luck is the thing. If you're lucky , you get to meet them in the ocean. Nice to meet you Fin Whales!!
And why horrible? Because we puked all the way going. We walked like a zombie after the ride. I hate waves! Definitely prefer air turbulence than the waves!!
Looks nice but tastes bad.
More museum-visit on the next day. One of my favorite museums, MoMA, the Museum of Modern Art. I am not a museum person at all. But seriously, the museums in NYC changed my old dusty perspective towards a museum. Malaysians should really learn from the Americans, see how they rock a museum.
We see the bull from a different perspective.
The Grand Central Station. The crowd is everywhere. As the name goes, it's really grand.
Dinner time. Bubba Gump is always my favorite!
Had a really great time in the city with my loved one. It's never gonna be the same next time when i step on that city again. Without the company of all of you.
